Lamb and Lion - Cooking with Cricut DT Project

Happy Wednesday!  Today I would like to share with you a simple yet special card that I created for this week's challenge at Cooking with Cricut.  This week, our Executive Chef challenged us to create something with the theme of lions and lambs.

My card was created using the Wild Card cartridge.  The lion is from "Cricut Sampler" and the lamb is from "From My Kitchen."  I searched and searched but there is no scripture that states that the lamb will lay down with the lion. It says in Isaiah 11:6 that the wolf with lay down with the lamb.  However, I do know of an Oleta Adams song so that's been playing over and over in my head. So, I think I'll decorate the inside with that song lyric. Well...have a wonderful rest of the week.  Scrappy hugs!

By the way, my blog candy contest ends on the 28th.  Click HERE for more information.

I Have a Dream Blog Hop - 3 of 3

It's late. I know.  Please forgive me.  I've been ill all weekend and this is the first time that I had to catch up and finish my last project.  Well...it's actually not finished BUT you can see where I'm going with it.

I created a recipe book for my oldest who wants to be a chef.  He has vacillated between a Robotics Engineer and chef for the longest.  He finally decided while choosing courses for high school that his plan A is the NFL, plan B Chef, and plan C is a Robotics Engineer.  That's such a wide spectrum.  So, I focused on the one thing that he's had a passion for the longest and that's cooking.

I used a tutorial by Drew Andrews, which I can't find, to create this album.  It's made of cereal box and color paper from Nana's Kitchen Collection that I won as a prize.  On the cover, I placed images that were cut using the Cricut.  I didn't want it to be too feminine because he is real big on things being just so.  I hope you enjoy the album.  He loves it and we already know some recipes that he will collect.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy scrappin'!
