This is my card for the Wacky Wednesday Challenge at More Than Favors and the Tuesday Challenge at Made By Momo.

Wacky Wednesday's Challenge was to use the two elements, circle and scallop, somewhere on a card or layout. Momo wanted us to use the colors, green, yellow, and orange and include stitching (real or faux) or doodling.

I believe this card meets both challenges. We'll see. I won a cute cut file for the card from Creating in Carolina last week and used it to create this card. The circle in the middle however was cut from Plantin Schoolbook. The sentiment was embossed on the circle. I did some hand-stitching around the edge of the layers and doodling to create the tree. I dry embossed the base card using the Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz's tea dye Distress Ink. I added the ribbon which I received in my bottle from my bottle swap sister, Kim. The layers were finally pop-dotted to add dimension. The completed card is 5.5 x 5.5.

U R 2 Tweet Card

Here is a card that I have completed for a wonderful lady that is helping my daughter who battles Autism at school. I was told that she would be with her on a trial basis and today is the last day. We are very sad. She's wonderful! The inside of the card says "U R 2 Tweet."

While making the card, I had two challenges in mind. This card fits,

1.) Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #56 (use real or faux stitching) and
2.) Card Creation and More by C Ribbon and Bling Challenge (anything goes)

Guest Designer - My First

I'm so excited!!! I have been holding the secret in for about a month now and today I get to share with all of you. Abbie at Cricut Me That asked me to be her Guest Designer for September's First Friday Challenge. The theme this month is Breast Cancer Awareness. Breast Cancer Awareness month is actually October but we are getting a head start. Here is my card. I will hopefully post a few more items on my blog for next month that center on the theme. I actually wanted to create a necklace but didn't have a chance. So, I'm done rambling. Here's the card. Enjoy!

40:31 Creations Under the Sea Layout Challenge

Lauren over at 40:31 Creations challenged us to use the theme "Under the Sea" to create a card or a layout. I choose to create a shape card. The pearl and the cover are both heat embossed using Stampendous Detail White embossing powder purchased at Michael's. I dry embossed by hand the cover using Fiskar's braid patterned embossing plate. That was a challenge but my soon to be 13 year old son said and I quote, "That is way cool on so many levels." So, you know I feel pretty good. I don't know you can read the inside of the card but it says, "You're such a pearl." I hope you enjoy my creation.
