THINK PINK BLOG HOP
Day 2
**Pictures are up. Sorry for the delay.**
Hey! I'm so glad you could stop by to visit our 1st Think Pink Blog Hop organized by Karel of One by One the Flamingos are Stealing My Sanity. This is my first time and I'm having a blast. This day two for me and I have a special box to share with you.
If you've stumbled upon my blog and missed yesterday's action, hop over to Karel to get on the right track. After checking out my project, you'll hop right on over to at If It's Groovy and check out her Pink Project. I'm sure she has something special in store for us.
***SPECIAL GIVEAWAY INSTRUCTIONS -- To win the $25 gift certificate from Sarah, all you have to do is complete the hop and leave a comment on every blog. This is a change. Please be sure to leave a comment on every blog! On Tuesday, utilizing random.org, a blog number, and then a comment number for that blog will be chosen. The winner will be notified by a posting on One By One The Flamingos Are Stealing My Sanity, by a posting on Karel's Facebook and Twitter Accounts, and every effort will be made to personally contact the winner.***
Today's project is a twist on a Hope chest. I really wanted a treasure chest but had to settle for a box that I altered. This box is created with the idea that personal notes, words of encouragement, and scriptures would be placed in the box for anywho who is battling cancer and needs a little pick me up. I kept with the pink zebra theme. There are two special things that I'd like to share about the making of this box. First, the hand-made flower on top is super easy. It's created with hand-stamped paper, brads, rubber bands, and white cardstock. If you would like the directions, I will have to look them up, but I will post them for you later. The second special thing is that my oldest daughter helped me finish this box. When we finished it, she said she would like it for a jewelry box. I think she may get her wish. She has so personal health issues so I think the words on the box still fit her situation. I hope you enjoy my altered project and will come back tomorrow.
