Crazy About Cricut Family Friday - Thankful Turkey

Happy Friday!  Today Jenny challenged us to create something using our kids' hands.  I toyed around with several ideas before landing on the thankful turkey.  This is a simple project that I pray will cause us to pause and remember that we have much more to be thankful about than we have to complain about.  In fact, we really can't complain.  This turkey was created out of recycled bears from my old classroom.  I cut the body, eyes, and bow tie off of the bear and fussy cut the shoes.  I used the Wedding cartridge to cut the top hat.  My kiddos traced their hands and cut them out.  Sunday, we'll race to see who can come up with the most things that they are thankful for.  After thanksgiving, I'll probably hot glue everything together for next year.  They are just glued together for now.  I hung it on the wall using painter's tape because this is a rental home.  Let's see how long it stays up.  LOL!!!
