Day 2 Project - I created a tag.  Now, I'm no Tim Holtz or any of these other "fancy" artists but here is my attempt.

RECIPE: I started with stiff glossy cardstock that I cut into a tag on the Cricut using TBBM. (I'm sure of the dimensions because I am travelling.  I will post if you'd like me to when I get back.)  I then used my experimental Glimmer Mist like mixture and sprayed my paper for the flower and the tag.  The mixture was VERY simple to make and turned out well.  I used the amount of Perfect Pearl powder that I could scoop on the tip of a popsicle stick and water.  I swirled that around in a Mini-Mister and voila!  I'll do a quick tutorial next week on that.  It's SOOOOOO simple guys.  I inked the edges of the tag and started preparing the music paper for the the tag.  I used music that I copied on my printer and tore using a deckled edge ruler.  I covered it with Tea Stain Distress Ink. This was adhered to the tag using Modge Podge.  Next, I used Melin's EXCELLENT tutorial on making grudge flowers to create the flower. Here's the link.  The only difference is I don't have Copics.  I would have embossed the brad but I ran out of time and I think it looks nice though the way it is.  I stamped the swirls and embossed the sentiment on the bottom.  Now, here is where the learning curve kicked in.  I didn't realize how wet the top sentiments would be after I stamped them and they smeared a bit.  I'll embossed those next time. It says, "Let Heaven and Nature Sing."  Lastly, I added pearls for bling.  I hope you like it at least a little bit.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I enjoyed the hop and can't wait until next time.
BLOG CANDY ALERT!!!
I'm offering the Gingerbread 2010 cutting file or digital stamp to one of my hoppers. All you need to do is place ONE link to your blog in the Mr. Linky on the post from Day 1. It's real easy. If you have problems, email me your blog addy plus your email address at christel(at)majesticdesigns(dot)net and I will put the link on for you. I will use the Random Generator to select one winner on Wednesday, November 17.

Now it's your turn! Let’s see your wonderful holiday projects. Be sure to try and include a Cricut or other die cut machine on your project and link it up at CookingWithCricut.com.
