Back to School Blog Hop with the Getting Cricky DT

Happy Friday and welcome to the "Back to School" Blog Hop with the Getting Cricky DT!  I'm so glad you could join us. The theme for this week is "Back to School".  I'm the last stop on the road back to school.

If you came here from DD's blog, you are in the right place . . . if not  CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)

For my project today, I created bookbag zipper pulls for my girls. I used the "Even More Food for Thought"," "Fashionable Friends," "Amazing You," and "Southern Sayings" stamp sets from K. Andrew Designs to complete these pulls.  I followed this tutorial from "Stampin' By The Bay". I first cut the flower out of chipboard using the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge.  Then I cut the same shape out of the patterned paper.  After gluing the paper to the chipboard, I embossed all of it using UTEE and clear embossing powder.  I do not like how it turned out so I will go over it with a coating of clear Mod Podge to seal it all over.

Materials:
Even More Food for Thought. Southern Sayings, and Amazing You stamp set by K. Andrew Designs
paper by My Mind's Eye
UTEE and clear embossing powder
Forever Young Cricut Cartridge (flower cut at 3" using shadow feature)

If you would like to purchase either of these stamp sets just click HERE

-----------------------------------------------
Remember, I love you and there ain't NOTHING you can do about it!  Peace and pause!!!
